The 4010 – a Nanotechnology Gen2 Certified Replacement Filters 3-Pack contains all filters for our 4000 system: filter number 4001 – a Specialty Carbon Filter – first stage, 4002 – a DE Block – second stage, 4003 – a Nano Filter – third stage. Replacement filters are sold only in this configuration. This is the second generation filter 3-pack designed specifically for our 4000 Nanotechnology Certified Under Counter Filtration System. The 4010 – a includes the same 3rd party IAPMO testing certifications as the previous generation 3-pack.
4001 – a Specialty Carbon Filter – first stage
- Removes chlorine, organic contaminants, sediment, sand, dirt and rust particles
- Enhances taste, odor and color
4002 – a DE Block – second stage
- Reduces chemicals, tannins and heavy metal
- Removes virus and bacteria
4003 – a Nano Filter – third stage
- Reduces viruses up to 99.999%
- Reduces bacteria up to 99.9999%
- Reduces parasitic protozoan cysts such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium
- Removes waterborne contaminants such as bacteria, cysts, viruses and colloidal particles
- Captures particles as large as tens of microns or as small as a few nanometers
- Lowest Pressure Drop – Comparable to a 2-3 µ/micron filter
- Wide pH Ranges – Effective from pH 4 to pH 9
- High Dirt and particulate retention – Up to 25 times of a conventional filter
- Removes some micro-pharmaceuticals
- Reduces lead to below Federal Action Level of 10 ppb
