The automatic backwash system was developed specifically to target incoming water that has high levels of turbidity, sediment, dust, dirt, and silt, or heavy metals and many chemicals, including chlorine, chloramines, VOCs, by using a proprietary mixture of KDF 85(A) and granular activated carbon CR1240S (B).
BD70CC-1 Automatic Backwash System forAdvanced Sediment Removal 110v/220v:
The BD70CC-1 has been successfully used in some of the harshest environments including posts located in Eastern Europe, Central Africa, and Asia. The BD70CC-1 turbidity and sediment removal system with backwash control removes suspended solids and solid particles down to 5 microns. Unlike filter cartridges, this system will not restrict flow or water pressure. The automatic backwash control assures that the media stays clean resulting in less maintenance and filter replacement(s). The system includes the tank, backwash control valve, and bypass valve.

Uses a proprietary mixture of KDF 85(A) and Catalytic Carbon.
This system was engineered specifically for incoming water that has very high levels of targeted contaminants such as Hexavalent chromium (Cr VI), Lead, Mercury, Arsenic, Nickel, Cadmium, Copper, Chlorine, Chloramines, Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), Hydrogen Sulfide, and Iron.
Catalytic Carbon is specialized activated carbon which is treated and creates a catalytic surface (surface modification) that will break down contaminants instead of adsorbing them. This provides more effective performance for complex contaminants. Catalytic Carbon specializes in the removal of chloramines, hydrogen sulfide, VOCs, and iron.
